Hamamarama took nine years to record and was met with such tremendrous acclaim that the obvious tactic for the next album was to take even longer. So we present to you an album 15 years in the making, World Examining Works.
This album showcases a more measured pace for M.O.S.C.O.W. As we approached mid-life – nay, as we approached peak wisdom – we felt it was our duty to light the road for our fellow humans and assorted other advanced mammals. Would that we could all live in harmony, celebrating each others’ accomplishments, annoying each others’ enemies, and riding together, hand-in-hand on a melody-making freight train of wonder into a glorious future. Good and brave people of the world, the wait is over. World Examining Works is your ticket to ride that melody-making freight train of wonder. Climb aboard and hold on tight.

All songs and assorted nonsense by M.O.S.C.O.W.
The members of M.O.S.C.O.W. want to be clear that they do not think of themselves as better than anyone else just because they are advancing human civilization a considerable amount with the release of this album. Credit abounds. M.O.S.C.O.W. is indebted to the broad thinkers and great doers of the past, including the various Plinys, Eli Whitney and Yoda. The work the band has done in assembling this album could not have been accomplished without standing on the shoulders of those who came before. Or rather, it could have been accomplished (by us), but it would have taken longer to finish the record. So we’ve essentially invented a time machine by using the work of others to accelerate our own contribution to the universe. Which means the band would be remiss if we didn’t thank the band for its important contributions, too. Thank you, and you are quite welcome of course.

If I wanted a cohesive smorgasbord of random delights, I would have ordered some sesame chicken wings with vegetable medley.

A real master concept album, the concept being no concept, I loved how it all flowed together like an endless sea of disciples swaying and pulsating like some kind of fleshy terrain in time, seven and seven is fifteen years minus the one, bradumpt!

Exceeded expectations in genre defiance. Part alt-country, part prawg rawk, part psych pop, part Mouth Noise. I love it.
